How to avoid interference when using TV headphones?

Posted by JohnWilson on

When using TV headphones, are you still annoyed by frequent disconnections and freezes, or those annoying "static" noises? These will seriously affect our mood and usage experience. This article will introduce some possible solutions and how to avoid these situations.

How does interference occur?

Reason 1: The transmitter is close to other wireless devices. If there are other wireless devices in use nearby, such as WiFi routers, and they happen to use the same frequency band to transmit signals, signal interference may occur.
Solution 1: Please turn off their Wi-Fi or other wireless devices, or use them at least 10 meters away from the transmitter. At the same time, the transmitter should be kept away from microwave ovens, refrigerators and other places that generate electromagnetic radiation.

Reason 2: Exceeding the working range of the transmitter. The farther the TV headphones are from the transmitter, the weaker the signal will be. If the signal transmission distance of the transmitter is not enough, using the headphones in other rooms may cause the connection to be interrupted.
Solution 2: If you want to be able to move freely while watching TV, then you should consider headphones with a longer transmission distance.

Reason 3: There is excessive physical interference. Pillars, walls, your roommates... basically anything physical. The worst "physical interference source" is a metal obstacle... it can be a metal plate or just a fixture in a concrete wall.
Solution 3: Look around and find all these physical interference sources, move the transmitter away or move them away.

Reason 4: The audio source is connecting to other devices. If your TV has built-in Bluetooth or has been connected to other Bluetooth devices before. Then the smart TV will tend to pair with any Bluetooth device it can find, which may cause your headphones to lose connection.
Solution 4: Remove/reject other devices from the TV's external device list and turn off Bluetooth connections on other devices.

Reason 5: Headphone pairing problem. Sometimes, re-pairing the headphones and transmitter can solve all minor connection problems and stabilize the connection.
Solution 5: Clear the pairing history of the headphones and transmitter according to the instructions in the manual and reconnect.

Reason 6: Headphone Bluetooth version problem. The newer the Bluetooth version, the better and more stable the connection should be. Although it does not necessarily guarantee a perfect connection, it will greatly reduce the chance and frequency of Bluetooth disconnection.
Solution 6: If the Bluetooth version of your device is too low, consider choosing a device with a version of at least Bluetooth 5.0.

When encountering the following problems: Bluetooth freeze, poor Bluetooth range, Bluetooth audio interruption, please don't worry, try to find the cause of the problem as much as possible to solve the problem. If it still doesn't help, you can contact the manufacturer of the TV headphones and they will provide you with a solution.
